![]() The hardest enemy was the one with a shield as it required much more precision to actually kill them. While there are a handful of enemy types in the game, nothing felt super special. Being able to have a long range weapon that holds a descent amount of ammo was amazing and it made the other weapon choices seem not very worth. I really like the shotgun during my first level but in the end the pistols ended up being my one and only choice for the rest of the game. The negative of this game come from the weapons and bosses. I would often start levels of just shooting nothing to get my internal beat started. A lot of the game is just trying to get into a beat all while keeping that beat while both dodging and shooting. As someone who doesn't care at all for metal music, I still really enjoyed it. ![]() The music is an ensemble of metal riffs and they fit really well into the game. The game encourages you to keep to the beat by doing more damage for perfects as well as keeping a x16 multiplier applies vocals to the music. The enemy variety, weapons, and bosses aren't as good as modern DOOM, but with the shooting to the beat element of the game, the game is ascended to being a great title. If Metal: Hellsinger was just an FPS game with no rhythem elements, it would likely be a middling DOOM clone. ![]() This game is one of my favorite rhythem games out there as the mesh between FPS shooting and shooting to the beat works so well. There is a story to this game but its mostly just cutscenes at the start of missions and I just glazed over it because it is not what you are here for. 2h 57m PlayedMetal: Hellsinger is a rhythem FPS shooter where you play as the Unknown, descending Hell to get your voice back.
